Mr. Tompkins is a dynamic, competitive business leader, with a proven record from start up to multi-office international expansions for more than three decades.  His expertise includes strategic planning, operations management & finance, sales & marketing, and infrastructure development.  He has spent his career building organizations from the ground up to national recognition, mentoring company founders/partners in operations, finance, and sales/marketing.

Prior to joining EMS in 2007, Mr. Tompkins founded Tompkins International, LLC, a business consulting/financing firm in 2002.  His unique approach to this classically “outside looking in” business was to become a partner of each firm which he first pre-qualified as a successful candidate.  He worked from the inside, with a “hands-on approach”, to stabilize the operations/finances and grow each business.  This leg of his career took him to the United Kingdom, France, the Middle East and Australia.

The experience that qualified him to mentor company founders and their staffs came from founding and leading three scientifically-charged service companies during his first 25 years of his career.  Those companies spanned across the energy industry (oil & gas), environmental consulting/laboratory, & biotech businesses.
