Mr. Simunek is an energy industry executive with expertise in natural gas pipeline operations administration; operational, capital project and financial analysis; and capital budget preparation.

In his 14-year career at Houston Pipe Line Company, Mr. Simunek held various positions, including Director of Natural Gas Assets from 2001-2002 and Director of Asset Management from 1993-2001.  Mr. Simunek worked as an independent consultant from 2001-2003, when he joined EMS Group I in his current position.  At Houston Pipe Line Company, Mr. Simunek was responsible for administering their contract with Hanover Measurement Services Company. 

He has successfully negotiated contracts with third parties to accomplish the construction and operation of facilities that enhanced the revenue opportunities on the pipeline system.  He has administered the abandonment, disposal or optimization of underutilized assets to reduce the cost of operations of the pipeline and successfully administered joint ventures with commercial partners to enhance earnings and operational efficiencies for all parties. 

Mr. Simunek holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Central Florida, and an MBA from the University of Houston.
