Mr. Jones is a results-oriented management professional with over 30 years in the energy business with an extensive background in accounts payables optimization, merger and acquisition planning/implementation, shared services concepts and optimization of field operations.
From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Jones was President of John D. Jones & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in acquisitions/mergers implementation, optimization of field operations and back office processes. He served as Vice President of Materials and Contract Management for El Paso Corporation, a multinational energy company, from 1996 to 2004, and as a merger and acquisition team member for each of the major mergers/acquisitions. In addition he was a member of the senior level reorganization and cost review team which served to streamline company processes.
Mr. Jones’ accomplishments include the reorganization and redesign of the supply chain process which produced a reduction in spending of $130,000,000 annually. While managing the Maintenance Services organization from 1990-1995, Mr. Jones established a tracking system for all maintenance activity, established the reliability engineering group, improved the safety records for both the machine and welding shops, and streamlined the warehousing and logistics programs.
Mr. Jones holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Management and Administration from Columbia Pacific University. He also graduated from the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School as a Piping Designer and is certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia. |
