Mr. Deferrari is the Director of Finance with over 12 years of financial, operations and research experience.  He leads the finance function of EMS and its affiliates through capital planning, budgeting and financial projections, treasury operations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining EMS, Mr. Deferrari served as a Senior Financial Analyst for Memorial Hermann Hospital where he provided key financial information to the Executive Committee, prepared multi-million dollar budgets and managed labor productivity.

During his career, Mr. Deferrari has published medical research papers, started a biotechnology company, and worked for Union Fenosa in Madrid, Spain.  He speaks fluent Spanish and is a member of Young Professionals in Energy.

He holds an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Management - Rice University.
