EMS Group to Demonstrate New Pipeline Integrity Management/SCADA System to PHMSA

Houston, TX – July 12, 2007 – EMS Group, recognized as one of the largest providers of pipeline operations and maintenance in the United States, announced that a Pipeline Integrity supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) Demonstration System will be installed in the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Training Center (formally the TSI) in Oklahoma City, OK.

SCADA demonstrations and training sessions at the facility begin in September and will illustrate the latest technology in cathodic protection automation centered on web monitoring and control. Remote access to the resource will be available, which will enable any professional in need of training or certification to link to the facility through the web. A static pipeline will be utilized to demonstrate techniques for pipeline inspector certification and training.
