A Change in Executive Assignments at EMS

Houston, TX, February 5, 2008- Officials at EMS are pleased to announce that effective February 1, 2008, two executives: Robert (Bob) Tompkins and Sumner (Buzz) White will assume different responsibilities in their assignments in response to the growing needs of the organization and industry at-large.

Bob Tompkins, previously Vice President of Business Development and Operations – North East and Canada has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer for EMS.  Tompkins is a competitive business leader with a proven record of success managing a wide range of companies, from start-up to multi-location expansions.  Over the past three decades, Tompkins has gained significant experience in strategic planning, infrastructure development, operations management, and finance.  Tompkins has effectively established and managed several companies in the energy industry, and will work with the rest of the EMS executive and management teams to continue realizing the EMS mission, to provide a full range of superior services across the energy industry to ensure successful client operations.

Meanwhile, Sumner (Buzz) White, former EMS Chief Operating Officer, has accepted the new assignment of President — EMS LNG Services, LLC.  White has over thirty years of experience, many of which have been spent consulting and managing power plant and LNG terminal projects.  His expertise includes market analysis and strategy, economic evaluation, due diligence, conceptual design, contract negotiation, and project management. White will manage EMS’s current LNG activity and focus on growing the company’s presence in this sector.

During 2007, EMS’s LNG group executed on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a member of the Consortium of KOGAS, LG International, and EMS (Port Lavaca LNG Services) to be the Operator for the Calhoun LNG Terminal. The Consortium has agreed to participate as an equity owner in the Calhoun LNG Terminal.

According to Tim Nesler, CEO of EMS, “We are extremely fortunate to have the depth in management capabilities that Buzz and Bob represent.  Buzz has been able to nurture a growing EMS for the past several years, and I look forward to him doing the same with our emerging LNG services business.  Bob has a solid reputation of organically expanding companies and we welcome his insights into our growing organization.  I am very excited about what the future holds for EMS having both Buzz and Bob involved in growing EMS’s operating and maintenance capabilities.”
